This week in class we will be reading The Grouchy Ladybug by Eric Carle. This is a great book that helps the students understand the concept of time. We will also be making ladybug clocks! This should be a fun lesson for the students.

Hello! Welcome to Miss Whitney's blog. I am so excited about the new school year. First, let me tell you a little about myself. I graduated for MTSU with a degree in Early Childhood Education. This is my 2nd year to be teaching 1st grade and I am looking forward to it. I was born and raised in Jackson, Tn and graduated for high school in 2003. Some of my hobbies include reading, taking pictures, and running. The purpose of this blog is to keep you the parents updated. I will be making weekly updates to help you keep up with what's going on. I believe that parental involvement is crucial to the success of my students.
